C185 Fallen
The thing inside the cave seemed to be very interested in the meat in Lin Mo's hands. Lin Mo could even hear the sound of its nose sniffing the air.
Even so, the creature did not move its body out of the cave. Instead, it blinked its eyes as it stared at Lin Mo, as if it was waiting for him to throw in the roasted meat.
"Alright."
Lin Mo did not have any intentions of attacking it. He threw the piece of grilled meat into the hole and retreated a few steps.
The creature inside the cave didn't leave the cave rashly, but continued to wait inside.
Lin Mo was not anxious, he only looked at him calmly to show his friendliness.
What exactly was inside the cave, Lin Mo did not know.
When he passed by this place previously, he noticed that the giant python was blocking the entrance of the cave and continuously trying to attack the thing inside.
Lin Mo was curious, the giant serpent already had its own intelligence.
Normally, this giant python would not waste its time to capture prey that was difficult to obtain. Unless, that prey was worth it to do so.
Since he had bumped into it, Lin Mo came over to intercept it.
However, up till now, Lin Mo still had not figured out what the huge snake was blocking.
The orange eyes inside the cave blinked a few times. Then, it slowly stretched out half of its body and quickly pulled the piece of roasted meat into the cave.
In that short second when he leaned forward, Lin Mo could clearly see his appearance.
It was a human-like creature with purplish skin and dazzling silver hair.
The guy in the cave looked like a little boy, but he looked pretty cute.
His appearance was almost no different from a human's, the only difference was that he had a pair of long, sharp, fairy-like ears.
A Fallen?
Lin Mo's heart skipped a beat as he quickly identified the other party's identity.
On the continent, there were many non-human humanoid races. Although these races were known as beastmen, there were still big differences.
Beastmen like the bear-man, the lion-man, and the cat man were similar in appearance to animals. They were extremely recognizable and were the most typical beastmen.
As for creatures like the Elves, who were almost no different from humans, but were not from the Monster race, they were classified as special Beastmen.
The Fallen in front of him was a race that was extremely similar to the Elven group.
Legend has it that Fallen Man was once a member of the Elven race and lived in the forest like other Elves.
It was only later, when the ancestors of the fallen began to come into contact with the dark magic of evil, that their race began to degenerate.
Their skin and hair changed under the influence of the Dark Arts.
In the end, the Fallen were removed from the Elves and became an independent race.
The fallen left the familiar forest with nowhere to go, so they eventually dug up the ground and entered the underground life.
All of this was just anecdotes from the legends.
Fallen people almost never appeared in people's field of vision, and all the humans and beastmen on the continent basically thought they didn't exist.
"Interesting."2
Lin Mo smiled. He then pulled out a few pieces of meat and placed it in his palm before waving it at the fallen man in the cave.
Seeing that Lin Mo did not feel any sense of danger, the little Fallen Avenger slowly crawled out of the cave.
The light outside seemed to dazzle him. He narrowed his eyes and walked away slowly towards Lin Mo.
