Qin Lili bitterly glared at Ye Tianxin. As an elegant and respectable woman from a well-to-do family, she never wanted to cross paths with a wild brat like Ye Tianxin. She would never have come if not for Qingxin, begging her to put up with Ye Tianxin for the sake of their family.1

She never expected Ye Tianxin to be so brazen as to get physical with her.

"Who the hell does she think she is! How dare she hit me? She must be out of her mind! I don't care. I'm calling the police. I'll crush her pride and watch her beg for forgiveness," she fumed.

"Got it. Don't worry. Everything will be fine," Li Qingcang assured Ye Tianxin before he glanced towards Qin Lili. He was angry at how Qin Lili treated Ye Tianxin. Tianxin was not quarrelsome, and she had tolerated them many times. But now, they left her with no choice.

'I wouldn't allow Tianxin to put up with them anymore. Otherwise, they'll only continue to push their luck,' he pondered.

Soon, the police arrived, and they saw two bodyguards standing by the door when they got out of the elevator.

The police officers exchanged a knowing look. One of them squeaked, "Some ignorant fool must have offended a big shot." In a place like the Capital, the odds of bumping into an influential person were high. Thus, life was not easy for an average man.

"Young Master Li, they're here," the bodyguards announced. When the two police officers entered the meeting room, they quickly spotted Li Qingcang and were scared out of their wits when they saw how furious he was.

'Goodness! Isn't he Li Qingcang, the one whom nobody in the Capital would ever dare to offend?' one of the officers wondered.

Young Master Li was quite different from other people who enjoyed pulling tricks or oppressing others beneath them. He would only strike his enemies with facts and logical reasoning that would make them concede to a humiliating defeat.

When they first joined the police force, they had heard from many senior officers that the only serious matters were those that involved Li Qingcang, the 'Tyrant of the Capital'.

"Young Master Li, were you the one who called the police?" the officer asked politely. Li Qingcang shot both officers an angry stare, and they hoped to get over and done with this case as soon as possible.

"I'm the one who called the police," Qin Lili interrupted. "Look what this brat did to me, officer! See?" Qin Lili complained indignantly.

It wasn't very obvious when Ye Tianxin slapped Qin Lili earlier on, but now, her cheeks were beginning to swell up. As her hair was also disheveled, she looked rather pitiful, and one would easily feel sorry for her.

"I'm going to take your statement first. What's your surname?" the police officer inquired.

"Qin."

"Please show us your I.D.," the officer requested.

After Qin Lili showed them her I.D. card, the policemen proceeded to put her statement on record and ask further regarding the flow of events.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Ye Tianxin never bothered to interrupt to explain herself. While she knew that she was at fault for hitting Qin Lili, she felt that Qin Lili deserved it.

'Serves her right for insulting my grandmother! It's none of her business to question how my grandmother raised me,' Ye Tianxin thought.

Initially, Qin Lili was certain that Ye Tianxin would be apprehended after the police took down her statement. Unfortunately, with a strong backing like Li Qingcang, nobody would dare to fault Ye Tianxin.

"Madam Qin, please come with us," the police officers concluded.

Qin Lili snapped when she heard this and asked in disbelief, "What do you mean? I'm the victim here! Why should I go with you? You should take her instead!"

Not wanting to waste any more time staring at Qin Lili's swollen face, Li Qingcang clapped and declared, "Get a good lawyer then, the best one that you can find. We'll see you in court."
