Long Sijue's cell phone started ringing. The call was from Xiao Mingyan. He answered the call and heard his mother's frightened, flustered voice. "Sijue, that psycho, Lan Yingying, stabbed Qingcheng. Go to the hospital this instant. I'm heading over right away!"1

"Got it. I'll head over," Long Sijue replied flatly.

"What kind of attitude is that? Someone stabbed Qingcheng! She was taken to the hospital. We don't even know her exact condition. Why are you not panicking?" Xiao Mingyan was furious at his nonchalant attitude.

"I've said that I'll head over. Also, I'm not a doctor," Long Sijue said. He ignored Xiao Mingyan and hung up the phone.

Su Qianxun sensed that his mood had deteriorated. It made sense actually, given that his fiancée was injured. He would definitely be unhappy. She wanted to get up and move to another seat. She did not want to be the victim of his unvented anger.

But the moment she moved, Long Sijue put his arms around her waist and asked, "Where do you think you're going?"

Long Sijue stayed silent for a moment. 

He glanced at her phone with the cracked screen and asked, "Are your eyes not tired from squinting at the screen? Let's go to the shopping mall now."

"My eyes are not tired. I don't look at my phone that often anyway. There's no need for a new one. I just want to keep this phone." Su Qianxun immediately held her phone tight with an adamant look on her face.

'Besides, is he not rushing to the hospital to see Lan Qingcheng?'

As it seemed, Long Sijue was not rushing anywhere at all. He took Su Qianxun to the shopping mall. After she begged him repeatedly, he agreed to only change the screen of her phone.

"I'm asking Ye Gu to send you home. I'm heading to the hospital for a while."

"I can head back on my own." Su Qianxun knew that Ye Gu was his personal bodyguard who was in charge of his safety. It was better to let him stay with Long Sijue.

Soon enough, Long Sijue texted back. His reply was concise, which was typical of him. It consisted of just one word: "Hm."

Su Qianxun was rather puzzled. 'Is he okay with that?' From her understanding of his temperament, his reply meant that he was pleased with this arrangement.

When she reached the hotel, Elder Long had just arrived as well. He had brought Long Lin along. The moment the little boy saw Su Qianxun, his eyes lit up. His short, tiny legs parted as he immediately ran away from Elder Long and towards her. He threw his arms around her thigh and held onto her with glee.

"Lin'er, I'm so happy to see you. Is your waist alright?" Su Qianxun was glad to see Long Lin too. She crouched down to speak to him.

Long Lin immediately gave a firm nod and hugged her. Su Qianxun carried him in her arms right away and walked over to greet Elder Long.

"Lin'er, get off her and walk on your own. Do you think you're still three?" Elder Long beamed as he gazed at Long Lin. There was an adoring look in his eyes.
