Xeel!
"What?" 1
"I guess that's what they would be to most of you guys, supernaturals included," Lucifer said. He folded his hands behind his head and moved into a supine position in midair. "They are high-level beings, who are probably thousands of years old."
Juin stopped in his tracks and looked at Lucifer. "No way! Really? Immortals?"
"Immortals, gods, whatever," Lucifer said nonchalantly.
Juin quickly caught up with him again, and after taking a quick glance to make sure that no one was looking at him, he asked, "But shouldn't they be restricted from coming into this world then? This is a lower-level world to them, right?"
"Yes," Lucifer said. He thought about it for a while, and there was a frown on his face as he tried to recall something from his past. For a brief moment, he thought of his fiancee slamming a book down on his face when he tried to take a nap.
…
"Pay attention, Lucifer!"
"Urghhhh…" A much younger and smaller Lucifer sat up quickly and yelled at the young woman who was standing akimbo in front of him, "That hurts, Izzy!"
"Why am I being engaged to a stupid brat like you?"
"Tell my father that! I don't want to be engaged to a violent woman like you!" Lucifer snapped. He wanted to stand up, but Izzy picked up the book quickly and slammed it down on Lucifer again.
This time, she added a spell on it, so the book weighed a thousand tons. Despite Lucifer's strength, he was still young and inexperienced, so he was unable to move at all.
"Urgh!"
"Listen carefully… We are learning about the immortal-level demons today. Your ancestor is one of them."
Despite sweating from the effort of holding the book on his back, Lucifer smirked. "Yeah… My… ancestor. I'll be stronger than him one day, and you'll regret treating me this way."
"Oh yeah?" Izzy then jumped and landed on the book on his back, which caused him to fall flat on his face.
"URGH!"
Ignoring the poor child underneath her legs, Izzy continued to drone on about the immortals.
…
"The immortals are beings that have the strength to overpower the law of the universe as we know it. While higher-level beings from a higher plane typically have their powers restrained upon entering a lower-level world, this rule doesn't seem to apply to these immortal-level beings. Due to their strength, many of them actually have the ability to hide and control their own strength from the law of the universe. As long as they don't do anything big, they would be able to travel undetected," Lucifer mumbled as he tried to recall as much as he could from the years of torturous lessons.
"And those two earlier?"
"The red cloud is probably an intruder… As for the black meteorite…" Lucifer thought for a moment before adding, "It's probably a guardian."
"Guardian?"
"We have multiple levels of worlds, but this doesn't mean that we have an infinite amount of worlds…"
Juin blinked and asked in a soft voice, "You're saying that heaven exists?"
"I guess you can say so, though heaven, in this case, means the top-most level. In some worlds, they are referred to as Asgard, Heavenly Realm, or Syurga. Of course, this is only a myth." Lucifer explained, "It is a world that only the strongest can reach, and once they have ascended, they usually stay away from the mortal matters. Furthermore, to prevent any immortal-level beings from causing an imbalance, there are Dimensional Guardians who are tasked to capture these beings who have somehow traveled to a lower dimension to create mischief."
"So the red gas was an intruder? But…" Juin cocked his head and mumbled, "I felt a weird sensation when it was moving around me. For a moment, I thought he was calling me."
"Well, you're quite an enigma, so I won't even try to figure it out now," Lucifer said with a wry tone. "Maybe we will find out everything about you soon…"
"But… He was saying…" Juin looked at Lucifer, and knowing how Lucifer dislike Hades, he decided not to say anything about it.
…
Meanwhile, the black meteorite continued to chase after the red gas, covering thousands of miles in a minute. To others, they appeared as what they made themselves to see. However, to themselves, they could see each other as clearly as day.
A black-haired, six-armed, bearded man with 6 weapons, one in each hand, was shouting, "XEEL! STOP AT ONCE AND ACCEPT YOUR PUNISHMENT!"
The red-haired man smirked as a diagram appeared in one of his eyes. He placed a hand on his eye, upon which a bright light appeared around his hand. When he removed his hand from his eye, the diagram was already on his palm. "Old fart, do you think I would stop just because you told me to?" he thought to himself while rolling his eyes.
With a mischievous grin, he suddenly turned around and sent a fiery blast at the black-haired man. This fiery blast wasn't the best that he could do, for that could have destroyed this entire world and unleashed hundreds of Dimensional Guardians on him. However, it wasn't weak either
The black-haired man's six arms immediately formed spells that blocked the blast, but he was still sent back hundreds of meters by the attack. By the time he got rid of the blast, the man he was chasing was gone, and he couldn't sense his presence anymore.
"Damn it!" the black-haired man cursed and slashed one of his weapons-a katana-down at the nearest forest. Despite controlling his strength, his slash still destroyed half the forest, which was hundreds of kilometers away. The poor animals and chimeras that were living there were completely annihilated without even a clue of what had just happened to them.
He had spent years trying to catch the red-haired man, who kept entering lower dimensions for reasons unknown. The Dimensional Guardians had once thought that their work would be easier since the partner of the red-haired intruder disappeared a few centuries ago, but they were wrong. The red-haired man continued to wreck havoc everywhere!
"I'll get you one day!" the black-haired man thought to himself before cutting open a dimensional portal with his katana and stepping through it.
