A woman clad in a strapless, tight red minidress was sitting in a car. She had a slender physique, sharp features, a slim waist, and fine curves. A dark lipstick colored her plump lips red. One could smell expensive perfume emanating from her that numb and intoxicated someone stepping in her vicinity.2

The door of the fancy car was left open slightly. The woman waited impatiently for someone.

"Ms. Wang." Another woman dressed in a black bowed as a greeting after hurriedly walking to the car.

Xi Melian, her assistant shuddered. The news she was about to give to Wang Huailing was not a nice one. Xi Melian was sure that Wang Hualing would get severely angry and in the given situation when there was no one around, Xi Melian was the sure target for her to take out her frustration.

"Just show me already", Wang Huailing snapped at Melian and snatched the tablet.

Her eyes widened once they landed on the photo. A woman in a red dress was kissing Li Luxian.

"What the f**k is this?" Wang Huailing shouted; furious, and threw away the tablet. It hit the floor and smashed into pieces. "H-How did it happen? When did it happen!?!?!?"

She was getting crazy with anger.

"Ms. W-Wang the scandal been out for two days n-now and I-I was..."

"Two days!", Wang Hualing screamed, "And you are telling me now? How dare you, woman! Is this what I pay you for?"

Xi Melian gulped as she selected her next words carefully.

"I have been trying to contact you desperately but you had been out of reach"

Wang Huaiing closed her eyes and leaned against the seat. She took deep breaths to control her anger and rubbed her temple.

"What did Li family say on this matter?", Wang Huailing asked in a cold tone.

This was the part where things were going to turn worse. Xi Melian realized that today was the unluckiest day of her life. She wanted to cry.

"Ms. Wang M-Mr Li has annulled the engagement officially this morning"

Wang Hualing's eyes opened.

"What did you say?"

"M-Mr Li said that the woman in the scandal was his true love and he intended to marry her."

Xi Melian closed her eyes, waiting to hear an explosion or two from her mistress. But...

No noise came.

Her mistress strangely maintained her silence after receiving that tragic news.

Xi Melian:"..." That is more scary, okay? Please go into hysteria and hit me all you want like you used to. This silence; it's haunting!

Xi Melian sighed. Her mistress loved Li Luxian dearly. Ever since she was young, she had dreamed of marrying him. She had worked so much to become an ideal woman in his eyes. After years of struggle, her mistress was finally successful in making both families agree to an engagement.

"This is just a lie." Wang Huailing said calmly with a confident smile.

"That girl is not his love. I know Li Luxian and no one knows him better than me. And I've never seen him with this girl before"

Xi Melian thought what his mistress said was right. Li Luxian was known to hate women. He couldn't tolerate their presence and Wang Huailing had been keeping an eye on him for a long time. If he had any lover, she would have known.

What hurt Wang Huailing the most was that the girl was kissing her Li Luxian. How dare that lowlife touch what was hers? Countless times, she had dreamed about kissing him, touching him to get a slight indication of affection. But she had never dared to approach him because of his bad temper when it came to women. Li Luxian wouldn't even let her hold hands with her.

And yet that woman dared to kiss her Li Luxian!

Wang Huailing smirked.

Xi Melian understood. They were to do the same thing they were doing with past suitors of Mr. Li. They bribed them to back off and if they still didn't back off, violence was used. They used their connections to harass the person until she gave up. And if she was still stubborn, they simply made the person disappear.

But now the threat seemed severe.

"And this time no need to bribe her first. Get her identity and I'll deal with her personally"

"Yes, Ms. Wang. I'll get the identity of that girl as soon as possible"
