117 Marry Me

October furrowed her elegant brows, making deep lines in between. Ma Rong was saying something but it was so soft and inaudible that she was not able to make out a single word from what he was saying. 1

"Did you say something?" October asked, her voice were now back to being flat and emotionless. It was already time for her to work and so was getting impatient. "If you are done talking with your nonsense, I'll hung up."

"Wha-! Nonsense?! Why are you saying this so bluntly to me with that oh-so-flat tone of yours? Ah~! You are so cold, Berry. My heart hurts!" Ma Rong said, feigning to cry again. He casually turnee his head and accidentally locked eyes with a pretty lady in a lush green dress sitting across him. He then casually smiled and sent a wink at her before turning his head away to continue his conversation with October.

The pretty lady's face immediately burned bright. Her heart was beating so loud on her chest. She then placed her hands on her cheeks to try to cool it off but it did not took effect. She then stared hard at Ma Rong's handsome face with deep infatuation. It was not only the pretty lady for he had also captured the hearts of the all the ladies around him, whether she be young or old.

Well, who wouldn't like such a charming guy? His were slanted upwards with his bright black obsidian eyes, straight nose, high cheek bones, and full red lips that was currently formed into a slight smirk. His lean body has a very well-toned skin and his shirt with a few unbuttoned buttons that slightly revealed his sexy collar bone. Not only that, the ladies' eyes travelled down his body and onto his long legs which was currently crossed. He looked laid back and relaxed as if he was a free spirit with a very bright personality. 

"I'm hanging up." October said as she pinched her nose bridge. Because of how long it already was since the last time she talked to him like this, and that Ma Rong's train of thoughts were wild right from the start but was now getting worse, her tolerance were getting thinner. She could not believe that she was able to have a lot of patience with this kind of character and was able to be friends with. 

"Ah? No, wait! I'm leaving today so I might arrive by tonight. Is it okay for you to fetch me?" Ma Rong urgently asked. He run away from home because of some issue he could not accept and had been in hiding since, leaving without a trace for his family to ttack him down. 

October gave a thought on this as she looked at her watch. Lexus will pick her up tonight. Considering that she will most probably be able to finish her work immediately and if everything goes fine and no unnecessary troubles will arise, then she can go home and will drive her own car to pick him up. 

"Okay." October replied calmly and started to sort the papers out on her table. Noticing that Ma Rong was silent, she raised an eyebrow and indifferently asked, "Do you have something else you wanted to say?"

"Ah? Well..." Ma Rong hesitated and became silent for a moment before finally opening his mouth, "Berry, I still think it is better for you to leave that guy. Oh! I have a much better, no, best idea to solve this. Marry me instead! Haha! Yee, that's it! You know me best and I know you better. I am also a good-looking guy. I bet I am mote manly and a good gentleman than him. I can make you happy. How about consi-"

October harshly jabbed her finger to end the call. Her beautiful eyes that were usually rippleless were now sharp and were brewing with a thunderstorm. She glared at her phone with squared jaw and slammed her phone on her table. 

A nauseating feeling then suddenly rose from her throat and she grimaced at this. Without much thought and without wasting any second, she rushed straight to the comfort room and threw up.

At this time, Yun Xixi tilted her head in wonder as she waited for her boss' permission for her to get inside. However, it was already minutes since she knocked on the door and stood there idly in front of her boss' door but there was no reply or any of that sort. 

Did something happen to the director?

Taking in a deep breath, she made herself go inside. Even though she was reluctant and nervous and that she was afraid that she will get reprimanded, but her worried heart could not calm down. What if something bad has happened to her beloved boss? If something like that really happened, and all she did was wait foolishly outside her door while her boss was silently suffering, then she would rather receive her punishment for entering the office without permission than to regret not doing anything at all. 

Yun Xixi opened the door and her little head popped inside. She looked around and there was no shadow of her boss. Her heart begun to pump more erratically as she burst open the door in anxiety and trepidation as she briskly walked inside the office with worry clearly plastered on her delicate face. Her eyes wandered to every corner of the office but she still did not see any silhuette of her boss.

"Da-director?" Yun Xixi called with her voice cracking in nervousness. However, she was answered with silence. Pursing her lips, her eyes flashed with determination.

"Director?" Yun Xixi called again and this time, it was more louder than before. "Director, are you there? I...I am here to put the documents you have requested. Also, there's a paper that I need your singature for it to forwarded to Accounting Department."

Yun Xixi looked aroud once more. Suddenly, her eyes landed on the door of the comfort room. The door was slightly open and the lights were on. She blinked her eyes. In curiosity, she placed the documents on her hand down on top of her boss' table and slowly went toward that door. As she neared, she can hear the faucet running. Her footsteps became rapid and her curiosity piqued.

The door was slowly pushed open and the sight before Yun Xixi was like the worst nightmare of her life.

This... Ah? 

Yun Xixi found herself  frozen in shock and...horror. Her heart dropped and her breathing literally stopped. Her mind almost felt like it exploded into nothing at the sight before her and her legs shook.
