"Director Gao, Yuning bought us coffee too!" One of the female police waved a Starbucks cup over her head. 

"Director Gao, this is for you…" Chen Yuning shyly handed a cup of coffee to Gao Ran.

"Oh, I haven't been sleeping well, so no thanks on the coffee. Thank you for thinking of me." Gao Ran was more reluctant than ever to talk to this woman, especially since he figured out her true colors. The cuter Chen Yuning acted, the scarier she seemed.

Gao Ran decided that his wife was the best; although Lingling had a temper, she was real. He wouldn't be able to stand it if the woman he lived with wore a mask her entire life… at this thought, Gao Ran shuddered.

"Director Gao, when I left, I was in a bad mood and didn't have a chance to say goodbye to everyone. No one's working overtime today, so I was wondering if I could treat everyone to dinner. Of course, if you don't come, this dinner probably won't happen."

Chen Yuning made a threat sound innocent and cute. However, Gao Ran knew that if he didn't agree to having dinner with everyone, Chen Yuning would refuse to treat.

"Honey, are you there?"

"The team is having dinner together, I'll be home late."

The truth was, Gao Ran wanted to tell Zhu Lingling that Chen Yuning was coming as well. However, he was worried that his wife might be worried again. Therefore, after some thought, he decided to leave this piece of information.

Zhu Lingling, on the other hand, agreed for him to go immediately because she genuinely thought that it was just a team dinner.

Including Gao Ran and Chen Yuning, a total of 27 people went to have dinner at a Sichuan restaurant. 

During dinner, Chen Yuning behaved herself quite well. She didn't even flirt with Gao Ran, leaving the latter to drop his guard. 

After some time, Gao Ran stood up to go to the washroom… Chen Yuning saw him leaving and stood up thereafter, following him out of the room.
