Qin Chu was speechless. How was he supposed to guess without even a peek?

At the sight of his wife's rare enthusiasm, however, Qin Chu was fully supportive.

"Pft, you definitely can't." Huo Mian looked smug.

Huo Mian thought that Qin Chu would pick her favorite place, Ah-Xin's Ramen, as his guess.

After all, that little ramen shop had a lot of memories for both of them. 

However… Master Qin was not exactly that predictable…

"Hotpot." Qin Chu guessed.

"You… you… you… how did you know?" Huo Mian was stunned.

"Give me my prize first. Everything else can wait."

With that, Huo Mian's lips were sealed by Master Qin's. What ensued was a kiss that lasted many, many minutes.

If not for the time of day and the fact that they were in the office, she would've had inappropriate thoughts…

"I know, the driver and the bodyguard told you, didn't they?" asked Huo Mian.

After all, they were the only ones who knew where she went.

"Nope, I didn't call them, did I?" Qin Chu remained calm.

Huo Mian knew that her husband was, in fact, not someone who liked to gossip.

"Then… how could that be? Shouldn't you have guessed ramen?" Huo Mian felt so defeated.

"Of course not! You told me I wouldn't guess it so confidently. So, it's definitely not ramen…"

"Oh… wow, my IQ's really decreasing… I'm so dumb…" Huo Mian thought that her intelligence was failing her; maybe her baby had stolen it from her.

"Last night, you were talking about hotpot. You're the type of person to satisfy their cravings. Plus, you said you ate shrimp dumplings at Wei's place… so, I guessed that you were going to bring me hotpot."

"Holy… Hubby, you should really be a detective. Your deduction skills are off the charts!"

Qin Chu was very observant and Huo Mian loved that about him. She had loved it ever since their high school days.

"So, Baby, where's my hotpot?" Qin Chu asked with Huo Mian in his embrace.

Huo Mian pressed the intercom button. "Yang, is the food ready?"

"It's ready, Young Madam, please come to the small meeting room."

"Alright."

With that, Huo Mian stood up. "Let's go."

"Honey, I'm impressed." Qin Chu was surprised as well.

Not only did Huo Mian prepare hotpot, she even asked Assistant Yang to set it up in the small meeting room.

The small meeting room was cool from the A/C. 

When they entered the room, they were greeted by a small yin-yang hotpot on the table. 

Unlike the electromagnetic or gas-burning pots, this was one that drew energy from the burning of an alcohol block. 

One half of the pot was a gentle spice and the other, no spice.

The small pot was surrounded by hotpot ingredients: freshly cut beef slices, lobster meatballs, mushrooms balls, crab strips, tofu skin, and four to five dishes of green vegetables. 

"Young Madam prepared this for you. President Qin, please hurry and eat."

"Yang, join us too," said Huo Mian.

"Huh? No, it's okay." Assistant Yang scratched his head, smiling awkwardly.

"Don't worry, I bought a lot. Sit down and eat. Oh, can you check if Zhixin and Bella ate? If not, call them over too."

"Alright."

Just like that, what was originally a meal for two turned into hotpot for five.

Huo Mian really did buy a lot of ingredients. The five of them ate to their heart's content in the small meeting room.

"Sis, is everything ready for the engagement party? Is there something else I can do?" Zhixin asked as he ate.
