In the hospital,

Kai was observing with great attention as the nurse was dressing up Sophie's wound.

"Is the wound too deep? Does she need any sutures?" Kai asked the nurse worriedly.

"No. It's not too deep. She should avoid getting the wound in contact with water for a few days and she will be alright." The nurse explained before leaving the two alone.

"Are you sure, you are okay? Do you need anything?" Kai asked Sophie with concern.

"Didn't you just heard the nurse? I am fine." After replying to Kai, Sophie looked at her phone lying beside her on the bed.

By her expression, Kai understood that she was waiting for Cheng Yi's call.

"Oh, Cheng Yi might be looking for you since you came here so suddenly." He said.

Sophie pressed her lips and turned towards Kai.

She replied in clear voice, "It's alright. He knows that I am busy."

"But... He should know about your injury..." Kai wanted to let Cheng Yi know about her situation but Sophie stopped him in the middle.

"It's normal in my job. Nothing new. And look, I am even having this saline drip just because you kept insisting. I will leave after the drip is finished. So you can go home."

Kai nodded to her. But he didn't want to leave her alone.

"I can give you a ride." He suggested.

But Sophie refused, "It's just a cut. I can go home on my own." Her words meant a straight rejection, so Kai didn't dare to refute her words. He couldn't help nod to her and leave.

After Kai left, Sophie stared at the ceiling as she lied on the bed.

Her eyes didn't blink as she recalled what she saw while leaving the hotel.

When she was hurt and had to rush to the hospital, she saw her boyfriend was still with the woman he danced together. He was so lost in that woman that he didn't even realize that his girlfriend was injured and was carried by some other guy and walked past him.

Sophie pressed her lips as she came out of her mind. She moved her head and looked at the saline bottle which was still half full.

After the saline drip was finished, Sophie got up from her bed and prepared to leave.

But to her surprise, when she came out of her room, she saw Kai sitting on the chair in the corridor.

As soon as Kai saw her coming, he stood up from the chair and replied foolishly, "My car has ran out of gas and I have no money. So I was wondering if you can give me a ride."

Sophie looked at him in disbelief and sighed.

"I will take a taxi." She replied.

"It's okay. You can drop me on your way." Kai smiled with wide opened mouth.

Sophie crossed her hands on her chest as she sighed looking at the guy foolishly smiling at her.

"Then I can kiss you, right?" Mai Yuerui kept looking at Kong Xianwang as her thumb slowly brushed over his lips.

"They are really pretty." She murmured to herself and moved forward to kiss them.

While Mai Yuerui was lost in thoughts of kissing him, Kong Xianwang was numbed.

Her sudden provocative actions made him flabbergasted.

It's not that he didn't like it. He liked it when her finger brushed his lips.

He has been waiting for the moment when he can claim Mai Yuerui's lips as his.

But the next second he came back into reality and immediately blocked her lips with his palm.

"Mmm... Mmm..."

But drunk Mai Yuerui didn't even realize that it was his palm and kept pressing her lips on to the palm.

Looking at her cute actions Kong Xianwang couldn't help laugh.

"Do you know what you are doing?" Kong Xianwang teased her while trying hard not to laugh.

Drunk Mai Yuerui curved her lips into a silly smile and replied, "Kissing you?"

"Oh! So do you like kissing people's hand?"

Mai Yuerui frowned as she retreated from her action and looked at the hand she was kissing.

"This is not your face." Mai Yuerui replied innocently followed by a hiccup.

"Yes. It's not."

"Why did you move your face? I want to kiss you." Mai Yuerui said with a sparkle in her eyes.

Her intensions didn't look innocent to Kong Xianwang as lust was painted all over her face.

'Mai Yuerui was right. This cake is indeed drugged.' Kong Xianwang thought before standing up from the floor.

"Huh! What happened?" Mai Yuerui asked.

"Mai Yuerui, you are not okay. You need to see a doctor." He told her in hurry since he became worried about her.

But the next second he mumbled, "No, wait! What if she attacks the doctor? That's not gonna be good."

"What are you talking about?" Mai Yuerui asked innocently in drunk tone as she raised her neck up to look at him from the floor.

"Nothing!" Kong Xianwang replied to her before pinching his forehead.

'No! We just got engaged a few hours ago. It's not safe to take her out in this state.'

Kong Xianwang thought before picking up his phone.

He was looking for something in his phone when Mai Yuerui yelled at him to get his attention.

"Kingkong! What are you looking at? Look at me!"

The motion in Xianwang's hand froze as he looked back at his drunk wife.

"What did you call me?" He asked.

"Kingkong!" She replied with a foolish smile.

Kong Xianwang squatted down before her as he asked her, "Is that my nickname?"

"Yup!" She nodded.2

Kong Xianwang couldn't help smile. There was a hint of shyness in his smile.

"Why did you give me that name?" He asked her with blush all over his face.

"Why did I give you that name?" She asked him back.

"Hmm..."

"Let me think!" Mai Yuerui scratched her head as she tried to recall.

"I remember!"

"It's because you have 'Wang'(meaning King in Chinese) your name and your surname is Kong. So, King and Kong makes Kingkong, the chimpanzee! Hahahahaha!" Mai Yuerui started to laughed out of her lung while Kong Xianwang was amazed to see her creativity.

He didn't know what to say to her. He can't even tease her in her drunk state.
