500: The Air Gem

The Air Gem

  There were a lot of them. Different flying animals. It can be named in any mythological names or akin to anything that they mentioned in the books. Johanna looked at her husband who held her hand tightly. 

"Are you nervous?" Johanna asked him. 

"Love, I am not," Connor said. 

"Okay, sexy people." Andromeda kicked the door open as she raised half of the air gem. It shone brightly as the monsters hissed and moved aside, giving them way. One of the guards directly shot Andromeda. However, Hannah Grace was fast as she met the bullet with another one. 

"Stand down, idiots!" Andromeda scowled at them. "If you don't give me half of my gem, these things will eat you all." 

  They all got terrified. 

"Where is it now?" She scowls at them. They pointed the way as they let Andromeda in. Connor tags along with his wife as he makes sure that she's safe even from behind. Also, these creatures seemed to be protecting them as long as they have half of the gem. 

  Johanna walked briskly with Andromeda as they went through a lot of access before getting to the one where Janella was probably hiding. She decided that she should be the one to knock. So, she knocked casually on the door. 

"Oh, Janella." She called out. "Can you please open the door? We need to talk." 

"Fuck you! Traitor." Janella shouted through the speaker just beside the door. 

"Oh," Johanna looked at her husband and shrugged. "Babe, we are friends. I swear." 

  Connor only shook his head. She knocked again. 

"Uh, hey, friend~~we need to talk. This is serious. Also, there are a lot of dead men outside your door. You should be aware~~ also, the air gem with you. It will explode if you don't give it back." 

  There's a five seconds silence but then Janella speaks again. 

"Stop trying to trick me." 

"I am not tricking you. You can check the gem yourself." 

  There's a long silence and the door is opened by Griffin who grinned at Johanna. 

"Hi, Hannah. Long time no see?" He spread his arms and was about to hug her but Connor caught his face and pushed it away from Johanna. 

"I am not giving this unless you gave that gem to me," Janella said, clutching the gem with her uninjured arm. 

"So, are we going to switch gems here? Because I have no time for that. My honeymoon should be yesterday and today." Johanna said. "And tomorrow. You are ruining it." 

  Janella raised her brows as glared at Griffin. 

"Point the gun to them!" she told Griffin who was too stupid. He picked up the gun but without his knowledge, someone injected something into his neck and he dropped to his knees on the floor. 

"You stupid." 

  Janelle pulled a gun under her pillow and pointed it at Johanna. Connor quickly covered her as Andromeda stepped forward. 

"I want the fire gem then. I know that you are the one who hid it." Then she looked at Johanna. "And you traitor. You know where it was! You switch it with a fake one." 

  Johanna rolled her eyes and shook her head. 

"I don't know, okay? We played chess with that handsome guy and when I won~~I thought that he gave me the real one." She explained as Connor turned to her with a frown. "Babe, you are the most handsome man I know~~" She reached her husband's cheek. 

"Tsk." Andromeda rolled her eyes. "Guys, you need to focus. We are here to get the gem and all of this will stop." 

  Janella pointed the gun at Andromeda. She took a lot of steps as she grabbed the gun and threw it away. 

"Listen, you bitch." Somehow, Andromeda's temperature heated up upon seeing the coin that she was wearing. "I have no time for you to explain or I'll let these creatures eat you! You are selfish as you let your men get murdered." Somehow, they stepped back when Andromeda seemed to be more dangerous than usual. "And you dare carry that Phoenix coin with you!" She was about to grab it but Janella held it tightly. "It only means that your family was part of it." She took half of the gem from her. "Your family will pay, Janella." 

  Janella was speechless as she watched Andromeda combine the air gems. Cold air entered the room probably from the gem. Janella covered her eyes and when she opened them, they were gone.

  Johanna doesn't know the reason why Andromeda wants her to be on this mission. But she had the coin that Janella was wearing. She looked at the coin that she grabbed from Janella's neck. She gave it to Andromeda who seemed to be busy sealing the air gem. Somehow all of the creatures went back inside the gem and she had to plaster it around so it won't break again. They have to wait until it heals and becomes one again. 

"So? Who wants to eat?" She asked. "I'm hungry." 

  Andromeda extended her hand toward Johanna who gave the coin to her. 

"Why does she have this?" Johanna asked her. Andy stared at it as she caressed the phoenix. 

"It was from the King of the Phoenix. This big coin." She mumbled as she flipped it. "His date of birth. It was them after all. They killed the King of the Phoenix. It must be them. The Serpent." Andy mumbled. "I~~I remember it all now." 

"How can you remember it?" She asked. 

"Science can't explain what I am experiencing, Jo. But thank you for helping me out." 

"It seems like you don't need my help after all." 

"I do need your help. Those creatures would follow you since you are connected to the earth." She extended her hand. Johanna was puzzled but she put her hand to hers. Then, Andromeda also extended her hand toward Veronica. Then, she united their hands and placed them over the gem. "The two of you were entrusted by the guardian with this gem. You are the only ones that can cure it and make it one. This is why I need both of you here." 

  It was a fun ritual after an hour. Johanna was extremely hungry. She was surprised that their food was served in the hotel. Asian Season. There's a lot of food. She started digging while her man that is now her husband was contacting Victor to check on their daughter. Somehow, Quinn took the spot between Violet and Victor which was supposed to be Kal's. And Kal was lying at the edge of the bed sulking whenever Quinn teased him. It was odd but the two get along well. 

  But Kal snuggled beside his mother and started interrupting them. That Quinn asked for a lot of money and later on would ask Victor to go out so she could buy what she wants. Victor, of course, spoiled their daughter since she's so much like Hannah Grace. But Quinn isn't selfish at all. She gives each of them treats… food to eat. 

"Babe," Johanna watched as Connor opened the King crab for her. "Do you think that we can have twins? Probably girls…" 

"Babe, if it's twins, then it's great." He said as he removed the shells and placed them on her big plate. 

"It would be adorable if we have twins." 

  He smirked at her. 

"Babe, back then, you didn't think of having kids. But now, with our first baby then second~~you seemed thrilled." 

  She pressed her lips and nodded her head. 

"Quinn is an adorable smart baby. She makes everyone happy with her savage moves. She makes everyone happy with her weird knowledge. We love her so much. My brother loves her as well. How can I not get excited, if the happiness that our daughter is giving us takes away all of the negative energies? If we have more babies, we will be happier." 

  Connor moved closer to her and kissed her lips. 

"Thank you for being a great mom, my love." 

"Oh, you are sweet sometimes." She said. 

  Connor sighed. 

  After their great dinner, I had a little physical exercise like packing their things and preparing clothes for the next day. Then, they had sex to spend their honeymoon. It won't affect the baby as they were careful, yet horny. Connor fell asleep after that great sex, but she couldn't sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, she could feel the air blowing on her. She doesn't know why but with all of these messy gems, something is wrong. For years, these gems were secured but now, it creates chaos as they try to take them from each other. 

"Is something going to happen in the future? Damn, our kids should be safe anyhow." She mumbled. She reached for her phone and called Keira. Her baby sister. Shortly, Keira answered. 

"Hey, how's your honeymoon?" Keira greeted as soon as she answered. 

"It's fine." 

"So? What's up?" 

"Keira, uhm. You are connected with Andy, right?" 

"Yup."  0

"So, you know the gems." 

"She mentioned it." 

  Like what Johanna expected, Keira had something to do with the gems but she didn't want to mention it to anyone. It means that she needs to protect it that's why she never mentioned it to anyone.
