Drill

  Before dinner, the tailors fitted each of the kids with their suits and gowns for their wedding. It will be Johanna and Connor's wedding in a few weeks and they are rushing everything. Since it's only a close family wedding, they won't invite people that they don't know. 

"What happened to the school, Cole?" MJ asked as she helped Cole remove a few layers of his uniform. 

  He told everything about what happened and MJ got alarmed. The kids continue talking about what happened. Somehow, Johanna got interested in the kid as they talked about what happened in their day. They looked happy. These kids were orphans but now they looked so happy as they talked about their normal day. Back in the facility, each of them never had a normal day. It was always dangerous, threatening, and terrifying. 

"That's great. Have you decided on what sports you wanted?" She asked. 

"I want something like Martial arts. So I could protect my siblings, Kal and Kin-Kin." 

  MJ smiled and patted his head. 

"I will go with you tomorrow so we can check if you will be able to join any clubs," MJ said and continued being a supportive mother to him while taking out workbooks from his bag. 

  Dione got in between them as she started babbling words of her own that she could probably understand. MJ smiled and nodded her head while listening to her little girl. It seemed that Cole also understood Dione. 

"But they can't stay for long on the campus," Cole told MJ. "Because double zero one and double zero two are on the campus. Double zero two nearly hit Jade." 

  MJ stopped checking Cole's textbooks for possible homework. 

"They might hurt Dione, Kal, and Quinn." 

"Well, we can set up bodyguards," MJ said. "Hey, don't worry. They won't be able to hurt them or you. I promise you." 

"Sadddy!" Dione exclaimed and squeezed Cole into her arms. Then, she rushed to Kaiden to do the same. 

"Darling, don't squeeze your brother, please," MJ told him. 

  Johanna giggled as she drank her fruit juice. 

"Dione is hyper today," Johanna said. "What did they exactly do?" 

"Ion wants~~ball." Quinn suddenly said as she started putting away her puzzles and organizing them in her cabinet with her name on them. 

  Johanna tilted her head. 

"Ball?" 

"We watch soccer try-outs," Jade told Johanna. 

"Oh," Johanna looked at Quinn. "Baby, what sports do you want to play?" 

"Pishing!" Quinn said. 

"How about swimming?" Johanna suggested. Quinn seemed to think about it. "Speaking of swimming, we can swim tomorrow. I will teach you so you can swim with fishes." 

  Quinn gasped with the most adorable wide eyes, a surprised and excited expression. Johanna grinned at her baby girl who ran to her. 

"Sim~sim~~pishy?" She asked, full of excitement. 

"Yes. We can do that. But first, you need to know how to swim." She kissed her darling baby. 

  Shortly, the boys entered together with Violet. Gray clapped his hands. 

"Alright, guys. We need to talk first." They close the door as Gray approaches the kids that he's taking care of. "We need to talk and this is something important. 

  Johanna reached the cushion and covered Quinn's eyes as she threw it directly at Gray's head. Gray stopped and turned to her. Then, she nodded her head to the tailors who are currently taking Kal's size for the tux. 

  Gray kept quiet as he picked up the pillow and tossed it back to Johanna. 

"No. No." Quinn shook at her mother as she pushed Johanna's hand. 

  Once the tailors left, Gray faced the kids again while Ace slouched beside Dione and hugged the baby girl. 

"Kids, right now we will give you an emergency button." 

  Violet had mini-bags and distributed them to the kids as they all sat down and opened them. 

"It has your favorite color liking." She told them. "It's more like a smartwatch. But it will know if you are in danger." She told them. "Based on your heartbeat," She helped Alexa put the watch on. "It can detect your fear, or if your adrenaline was pumped up… etc. We will check it by tomorrow. So, each of your emotions will be sent to your guardian. Just in case." Violet told them. 

"It's like a tracker?" Jade asked. 

"It's for your safety, dear," Violet told her. 

  MJ put the watch on Cole's wrist and taught him how to customize it to his liking. He smiled at it. Then, she took her phone and connected it to him. 

"You can send a message to me through here." She told him. She then connected it to his phone. "Every night, you need to charge it. Okay?" 

"Okay, mommy." 

"Mimi~~petty~petty," Dione said and pointed to the watch. 

"You can have one too, baby but not now. Okay?" 

  Gray taught them how to use it. After that, he started discussing the drill that they are going to do. 

"If you saw those two, you need to stay away from them immediately," Gray told them. "Do not let them provoke you. Walk away. Do you understand?" He looked at each boy. 

"We can fight them," Yves said as Gray shook his head. 

"No. You can fight them. But will you be able to survive? Those two are their most exemplary experiments. Do not provoke them. I won't say it again. Just focus on your school life and try to survive at least. These gadgets will save you. Plus, I will have a guard for each of you to monitor each of you even when you are away." 

  They sighed but they couldn't say no or interject. They need to be patient. They became obedient to their legal guardians although it wasn't final. Shortly, Gray spoke to Yves, Jade, and Jaime. Jade will be adopted by Ace if she wants. Somehow, she hasn't decided. She didn't want to be away from her family even though they weren't his blood.

"You don't have to call him dad or something. He will just become your legal guardian. Besides, he's still single and he can provide for Jade. 

"Let's have dinner first." Johanna interrupted. "These kids need to be in bed before nine." Connor hugged Johanna's neck behind the sofa and he kissed her head. 

"Or are you hungry?" He asked. She grinned at him. 

"You know it." 

"Foodie!" Kal exclaimed. 

  They all went to the dining room to have their dinner. However, Keira was already stealing the spotlight of the dinner by showing off a new engagement ring. Or~~an accessory. 

"Do you have to ask your husband for an engagement ring every year or every six months?" Johanna asked as she looked up at Keira. 

"My dear, this is for your wedding. I should have a new ring for that. Also," She showed Calli's wrist. "My baby had a matching accessory." 

  Johanna only looked at it. Keira looked so excited that she already customized the jewels that she was going to use for her wedding with Keira's daughter. But anyway, all is fine. Keira is spoiled not just by her parents and brother but also by her husband and soon, Calli will be the same. 

"Mama," Quinn called as she pointed to her fork that had a slice of apple. Johanna bent down and took a bite from it. 

"We need to give the kids a protocol when it comes to going out. I know that we rescued them to have freedom but with those people out there? They can't have full freedom outside this estate." Victor speaks as he looks at the boys. "So, every practice that you have will be communicated with your respective bodyguards." 

"Your bodyguards will be eyeing you while you are outside. You need to follow them and listen to them, always." 

"Yes, sir." The boys and girls said at the same time. 

"Why do we have to speak about the drills over dinner?" Ace asked. Then, he looked at his phone and quickly stood with a big grin. He went away as he mumbled sweet words.  2

  They looked at each other and just ignored Ace. Keira looked around to find another couple but they weren't with them. 

"Where are Leon and Alicia?" She asked. 

"Oh, they are currently in the hospital," Johanna said. "I'm sorry to just inform you." 

"W-what happened?" She asked. 

"It's normal for pregnant ladies to~~" Violet cleared her throat. Keira had an idea. "She's safe. She just needs rest." 

  Kal suddenly put down his fork without finishing his plate. He lifted his arms to his father who looked at him for a while, puzzled. 

"You don't want to finish your food?" Victor asked. 

"No, foodie." He mumbled. "I want, to go. Vivi." 

"Oh, she must have loved her so much," Alessandro commented as everyone looked at him. "What?" 

"No, arranged marriage," Victor announced as he helped Kal down from his hair chair. "I swear, no arranged marriage." 

"No one talks about arranged marriage," Sandro said. 

"I was thinking of it," Violet mumbled. "You read me so fast, honey." She rubbed her husband's thigh under the table. 

"Babe, no. Let the kids find out about themselves." Victor said. 

"Dada, I go~~Vivi. Okay?" He said like he was assuring his father that he can go wherever Levina was. 

"What are you planning?" Victor stood when Kal left the hall. "Kal," He quickly followed the boy." 

"Someone's leaving early." Keira giggled as the kids giggled as well.
