Middle Finger

  They bought everything that they needed. Johanna held her bags while Victor was pushing the trolley full of paper bags and boxes of toys. Kal was over the trolley enjoying it. Dione and Quinn were giggling at Kal while they were in their stroller. Shortly, they put the things that they bought in the other car. 

"Now, let's go to the restaurant to eat," Keira said. "I reserved the whole restaurant just for us so the kids would enjoy the nice seafood from the Asian Season." She winked at Johanna. 

"I'm starving." She said as they all got into the car. Keira picked up Dione and put her on the baby seat carrier. While other dads did the same. 

"All set, Princess." Keira sat beside Dione. 

"Mama," Quinn pouted as she raised her hands. She tried to remove the belt from her. "Mama," 

"Baby, stay there," Johanna said softly. "Mommy will sit with you." Johanna peeked at the window to check if there were snipers around them. "We are ready to go." She sat beside her baby and hugged her. Quinn giggled. 

  On their way to the restaurant, Johanna and Victor already noticed the familiar faces of the Serpent. Maybe they are just out shopping. First, they saw Danica, Kennedy's wife with a lot of shopping bags. Maybe they are just escorting her. Shortly, they reached the restaurant with a private parking space. One of the chefs met them at the entrance. 

"Why does it say that it was close?" A woman asked who was probably waiting for the restaurant to open. 

"I apologize Ma'am but this restaurant is currently reserved." The Chef said in a very apologetic way that he even bowed his head. 

  Inside the van, Johanna glared at Janella who was currently speaking to the Chef. Connor came out first as their bodyguards followed. The bodyguards entered first to check the area. Janella and her people went back to their car as Johanna came out and showed her middle finger at them. Janella stepped out of the car with a smirk. 

"Well, well. You look well." Janella said. 

"Of course, you want to die?" Johanna faced her. "Now, leave this area, or else, you won't be able to reign your little world." 

  Janella was shocked at Johanna's sharp tongue. A handsome man approached Johanna and carried her inside the restaurant so she wouldn't initiate an attack while Johanna flipped at Janella with her middle finger. 

  Connor put her down inside the restaurant as he put his hand over his waist. 

"Jo, do not initiate any war with them. Please."

  She only rolled her eyes. 

"Now, get my baby." She commanded him. 

  She went out just to make sure that Janella and her team left. They don't have a choice but to leave since they are surrounded by snipers. Shortly, Connor came with Quinn and Dione in both of his arms. She quickly took her daughter as Quinn pointed outside. 

"Mama," 

"Did you see it?" Johanna asked her. 

"She~~bad? She~~bad?" 

  Connor shook his head, completely stressed and disappointed. 

"Well, baby. You will understand soon." 

"Foodie!" Kal exclaimed as he was about to run but Victor held him telling him to behave. 

"Foodie, Kakal," Dione said as she pointed to Kal. 

"Yup. Food is life, darling." Keira told her. 

"Now, let's all settle down," Victor said. 

  The chefs prepared an appetizer as they are cooking the dishes that they want. Kal and Quinn are both noisy while Dione was watching them and would mimic them. It was adorable to have the kids around in the restaurant. It was a little chaotic. 

  Connor moved his lips to Johanna's ear as he held her waist. 

"What's going on with you? Are you on your period? Or perhaps, PMS?" He asked. 

"Nope." She said in a very casual way. They continued to eat and finally, they went to the public mall to let the kids know what the outside world is. They were very cautious as they had bodyguards with them. Even the security officer of the mall was following them a few meters away. Kal ran to the rides as Victor followed fast. He let Kal ride on the motor ride that moves sideways a little. 

"Not, mobing." He told his father. 

"That's because it only stays like that and moves like that," Victor told him. 

"No," Kal shook his head. "Not broom~broom." He climbed down as he walked away. 

"Fine," Victor mumbled. He caught up to his son and reached his hand. He monetarily stopped when he noticed a lady in the Kingsmen store. He lowered the visor of his cap and picked up Kal. "Let's leave." He told Johanna. 

  She also noticed Janella and Danica in the Kingsmen Store. A store that sells tuxedos and suits. Keira follows them while she's pushing the stroller. Connor held Quinn who leaned on his shoulders. 

  Johanna looked at them again as Janella was staring at Quinn. She quickly covered up her daughter from them. Although they knew about her and Victor, that they had offspring, she already made Kennedy clear that if the Charles Empire of the Serpent would make a move on their kids, she won't think twice about killing each of the members. Even their children. 

"Going here is a bad idea," Victor mumbled. 

"They won't attack in public," Johanna said calmly. "And why are you running away?" 

"We are not running away. We are simply going to the department store." Keira told her. 

  They went to the Golden Age entertainment directly to the President's office. Keira took the kids to her office as Kal ran around and stared at the coolers inside her office. 

"So many!" Kal exclaimed. 

"Soomany!" Dione and Quinn mimicked Kal who also started checking everything in Keira's office. 

  Johanna slouched on the sofa as she reached her forehead. 

"What is this about now?" Johanna mumbled. "Why is Janella here?" 

"Mama, talll!!" Quinn giggled as she held on to the glass while looking at the skyscraper.

"Ohh," Kal gaped. They looked excited and very much curious about this outside world. They can't keep the children in the mansion all their life. There's a lot more outside and their curiosity is piqued as days pass by. 

"Call Kennedy Charles." Johanna waved at her husband. 

"No." Connor shook his head. She gave her a silent glare as she pulled out her phone and called the man. 

"Hello?" The man answered. 

"Hey, Ken. It's Hannah." 

"Oh, hey. What's up?" The man asked casually. 

"You see, I and our kids went out but we noticed that a venomous snake was outside." 

  Kennedy was silent for a while. 

"I haven't spoken to her yet." 

"Hmm, she's with her cousin. Is your wife pregnant?" 

"She is." Kennedy didn't deny it. "I will speak to her. Nothing bad will happen. I assure you." 

"We have this truce and I trust you on that. But if Janella or your wife's family~~did something bad that might harm our babies… you know well what happened." 

"Hannah Grace, it is crystal clear. I will speak to them again. Nothing bad will happen. I assure you." 

"Sorry to stress you out." She smirked. 

"Yeah, sure…" He mumbled. "I am off to another appointment. Thank you for reminding me." The man remained calm as usual.  2

"Have a great day." She hung up as she looked at her daughter who was watching her all this time. 

  Keira sighed as she reached her head. 

"This is supposed to be fun." She mumbled. 

"Mama," Quinn pointed to the other building. 

  Johanna stood as she approached her daughter. She stared at the sniper who was checking around the building. She quickly pulled her daughter, Dione, and Kal. 

"Get back there." She said. 

"It's bulletproof," Keira said. "No matter what they do, they won't be able to kill us yet." 

"But, who is that?" Johanna asked as the Head Agent who is escorting them quickly communicates to others. 

"No name. No badge. No clear identity." Agent Lancer said. 

"I'll go and check," Connor said. He stood as he went to Keira's wardrobe.

  Johanna went back to the sofa and snuggled with her baby girl and Dione. 

"Did they perhaps hire someone?" Keira asked.

  Currently, Terrence was packing a lot of clothes for himself and their little Levi. They are moving to the Evergarden Paradis. He's sure that Kal will be sad that they have to move there. But what choice did he have? The Rossie Empire needs him and he can't be away from his family. Maxine agreed with it although she will be sad that Levi won't have many playmates. 

"When will Kal come home?" Maxine asked him. 

"I don't know," Terrence mumbled. "Kal will be sad but it's not like we will stay there for like forever." 

"I know." Maxine sighed. 

  Just when they are done with packing. The Butler told them that they had arrived. It's already five in the afternoon and the first thing Kal did was run to their room and knock. As soon as Terrence opened it, he barged in with paper bags that he probably dragged on his way here. 

"Vivi!" He exclaimed as he ran to the crib. Levina, the adorable baby turned to her stomach as she crawled to the rail and smiled at Kal. "I got toys." He said as he opened it for Levi and put it on her crib. 

  Terrence and Maxine looked at each other. Kal was fond of Levina like his baby sister. He shared his toys with her and his food. They are sure that Kal will be so sad.
