The Snake, The Dragon and The Killing Machines
Keira stared at the new aquarium that they are installing in the playroom. The kids seemed to love it. Quinn mostly. But she noticed that the little girl looked sad as she only slouched on her mini-sofa while watching those men installing and landscaping a big aquarium. She stood and approached Quinn as she sat on the carpet.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Keira asked her. Quinn continued pouting. "Do you want to go out with Calli?"
"Mama~~work." She continued pouting.
"I know, baby Quinn." Keira sighed. "Why won't we go out?" She asked him.
"Kin-Kin, azy."
"You mean, lazy?" Keira asked as the little girl nodded. "I understand. You and your mom are always together 24-7."
Quinn looked at the door as a fancy grandfather entered with lots of bags.
"Quinn!" Gray exclaimed as they all looked at Gray. "I bought you something."
Quinn sat up and picked her fish plushie and just hugged it.
"What's wrong, baby Quinn?"
Kal approached him and looked up at him. He pointed to the blue box. He gave it to him and Kal rushed to his sofa. Then, Gray greeted Levina who smiled at him. He put a pink paper bag in front of her.
"What's with the gifts, Uncle?" Keira asked.
"It's to spoil the kids." He said. "By the way, I met Granger. Ian's son. He's adorable."
"Then, have you found a wife?" Keira asked. Gray was dumbfounded for a while.
"Where's Johanna?" He just dodged her question.
"She's out for a business trip," Keira answered as she caressed Quinn's head. "Little Quinn is sad."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Little Quinn."
Quinn sat up and pointed to the red bag. He gave it to her then she opened it and took out the crayons that had so many colors.
"Tekyu." She said in her adorable voice. Gray's heart melted as he slouched on the carpet. Like his heart was struck by some cuteness. Then, she lay back down on her sofa and held Keira's hand.
"We will watch some movies then." Keira hugged Quinn.
"Vivi." They all stopped and watched as Kal ran to Levina and put his box beside her as he kissed her tummy. He opened her box and gave her a small plane to Levi. Then, he left.
"That's thoughtful," Gray said.
"Fishy!" Quinn sat up again and took Gray's hand. She raised her arms as Gray picked her up and she pointed to wherever she wanted to go. She leads him to their bedroom but he hesitates.
He knocked first and put her down as he opened the door. She reached his hand and pulled him inside. But he stopped when he saw Connor who was busy in the aquariums. He raised his head and glanced at them.
"Quinn, we need to feed the fishes." He said.
"See~~See… Fishy, tutu." Quinn told him.
"Wow, that's amazing." But he got in anyway. He looked around the room and found it cozy. There's Quinn's bed and the couple's bed. Also, the big photo of Quinn together with her parents. There are also a few more photos of Johanna with Connor and when she's pregnant with Quinn.

It's not the job that Johanna wants although the Dragon offered her a big deal. Not just money but protection for her family. Although their Empire is big and strong, there will be a lot of complications. Spies in their own yard and a lot more. The safety of the children will always be their top priority. Now that the Serpent probably knows that she had a baby~~ and Victor had one as well, they will do everything to take the children and use them as a hostage or even worse.
"It's tiring," Johanna told Andromeda.
"Yup. I know that."
"Why did you put it here anyway?"
"It's not easy to find. This forest is wide." Andromeda answered. "Even though they have that equipment to track it, it will still take them days to get there."
"And how do you know that we are going in the right way?" Johanna asked again.
"I put a tracker on my own location." She told her. "Don't worry, Jo. We will get there."
"I want to end this right away. My little girl was probably lonely."
"Oh, she is," Victor said. "The two of you bond like twenty-four-seven. She's clingy."
"That's adorable." Andromeda chuckled.
"I am worried about her," Johanna mumbled. "And my man who was angry about this mission."
"Who wouldn't get angry?" Andel secretly agreed to whomever Johanna's man was. "Right, Veron?"
"Hmm," Veronica was just a silent type of agent. "We need to get there. It will rain anytime."
They moved fast to get there. It was in a gigantic tree. They need to get to the hole. Johanna hesitated for a while.
"It will be fun downstairs." Andel grinned at her.
She gasped when she slid down. It was dark and she didn't know how long they would reach it. She nearly screamed when she fell on hays. She looked around as Victor pulled her up.
"Are you alright?" He asked as she looked around.
"I am fine." She mumbled. Shortly, Andromeda landed perfectly and so was Andel and Veronica.
"It wasn't fun, Andel." Johanna frowned at him.
The man only chuckled.
She looked around as she sniffed. The earth smells so strong here. Mixed with freshwater, soil, and the minty smell of leaves. It is just so earthly here. It was also cold. Fresh cold.
"How do you know this place?" Johanna asked as she gaped at the beautiful scenery. There's a lagoon and in the middle of the lagoon is a stone formation that held the ruby gem. The fire element.
"Long story. Part of my ancestors." Andromeda said as she sighed. "This gem should be held by the Phoenix. However, he was currently away, protecting another paradise."
She doesn't believe in such mythical things but Johanna needs to believe this woman since Dragon asked for her help. She trusts her. Those people won't look for this kind of gem if it was a lie that it can destroy anything. Victor held her hand as they followed Andromeda like she was a little girl. But anyway, her brother was just that protective over her.
"There's this luminous plant in here." She mumbled. "I wish to take one."
"Oh, you can't pull anything here. Plants here are very rare. They are extinct. That's why we let it grow here."
"But what if they found this underground thing? What do you call it?"
"The Earth's Core," Andel said and laughed. "Joke. It's not a core."
"It's not funny. The core must be so hot." Victor told him.
"Apologies, he's just dumb sometimes," Veronica mumbled as she gestured to the other side.
"Wait!" Johanna stared at the glowing green gem. "Why is that here?"
"Oh," Andromeda chuckled. "I forgot to tell you. Since the magnetic effect of the Fire gem was strong, it will be easy to detect by their tracker. The earth gem balances every gem's destruction. That gem will heal any effect of any gems. That also includes the other two gems."
"Oh, wow." Johanna tilted her head. "But I will et completely serious if I found out that you are telling the truth." 0
Andromeda and Andel laughed.
"So, can you get the gem?" Andromeda asked Johanna. "You should have a complete blankness in your mind. Can you do that?"
"She can do that," Victor said.
"Yup, I can try."
Johanna adjusted her suit as she removed her combat shoes and a few more things. Then, she dived into the lagoon and admired the fishes around. She smiled. Happy just seeing it. Because she thought of her baby who loves fish. She swam to the middle as she reached the stone. She climbed on the rocks. She noticed that it was dragon rocks. Well, that's what it's called. Dragon rocks. This kind of rock was used in aquariums. At least that's what she knows.
She was careful since there are sharp edges.
"How about the earth gem?" Victor asked.
"We will get that after she gets that," Andromeda said.
Victor was a little bit confused. Why is Andromeda letting Johanna hold all of it and take all of it? It just doesn't make sense. Victor walked over to Andromeda as he crossed his arms. He cleared his throat as the pretty woman looked at him.
"Hmm?" She asked.
"Why are you letting my sister do all of the work?"
"Oh," She chuckled. "That's because your sister disturbs the peace of each gem and she needs to reconcile with them."
Victor was speechless. He gaped at Andromeda who only patted his shoulder.
"Are you serious?"
"That's what the guardian told me." She said, "Our mission is to secure these two, and next is to get half of the air stone." She exhaled as they watched Johanna climb without any protection. She then balanced herself as she reached the pouched, carefully covering the stone and clipping it on her belt. She climbed down and slipped her left foot but she got hold of it.
Victor was a little nervous since it was a dangerous stone. If she falls, she might hit the stones just one meter under the water. Luckily, she swam back with the gem. She breathed as Victor gave her water. She sipped on the bottle and gave the pouch to Andromeda.
"That's good," Andromeda said. "What's the location of Shadow?" She asked as Andel was busy on his thick tablet.
"They are five hundred meters away from this location."
"We need to hurry," Andromeda said. "Now, get the earth."
