Thorned Rose
It was supposed to be a good day. Johanna opened the curtains and she picked up her sleepy baby so she could face the sun. Quinn pouted and was about to cry. The adorable little one still felt sick although her temperature went down to normal. She might feel a little body pain from all of the vomiting and diarrhea.
"Oh, I spy your Aunt Keira," Johanna said. Quinn suddenly raised her head from her mother's shoulder and pointed at Keira who had just gotten out of Andromeda's car and was walking groggily with sunglasses.
"Tata~~walkie-walkie." She said.
"Yes, and I bet she's drunk. Let's go and meet her."
"Tata…" She hugged Johanna's neck as they went downstairs to greet Keira who shouted cheerfully.
"Good morning." She giggled and approached Johanna. She hugged them and as she kissed Quinn. Johanna gently pushed Keira and reached her chin.
"Are you drunk?"
"Hmm, nope." She shook her head as she giggled.
"Tata~~" Quinn was pouting with a frown. Then, she covered her nose.
"See? Even Quinn doesn't like your smell." Johanna sniffed her. "Tequila? Seriously?"
"Just a little bit of it." Keira giggled.
"Love~Love," Alessandro called as he reached Keira. "I have to go to the office." He sighed and patted Keira. "Go to sleep, our baby is still asleep, and sober up, okay?"
"I got it," Johanna told him. "I will take care of this drunkie and my adorable niece."
"Thanks, lifesaver." Sandro kissed Quinn's hand and then he kissed his wife. "Bye, love. Don't make it hard for Jo. The kids will be living in the guest house now."
"I'm sleepy," Keira mumbled. "My love, where are you going?" Keira was about to reach Sandro, but her husband told her to go upstairs as he rushed out.
"You are dramatic." Johanna holds Keira's arm while she has Quinn on the other arm. Then, she takes her to their bedroom. She put down Quinn on the bed as she helped Keira. Quinn only lay down on the bed and moved to Callisa's crib which was connected to the bed.
Quinn pointed to Callisa's nose trying to wake her up. But the baby was sleeping peacefully. Then, she looked at her mom and Keira. Her Aunt was giggling and she crawled on the bed as she kissed Quinn.
"No." Quinn sat up. "Seep~Seep, Tata."
"I love you, Quinn."
"Lab~~you." Quinn kissed Keira as she crawled over Keira and reached her mom.
Johanna tucked Keira in and made sure that the lights were off. She left the room quietly and looked at Quinn.
"Dunkie!" Quinn said as she laughed and kissed her daughter.
"Yes, your Aunt is a drunkie."
She took her daughter to the kitchen and checked the food that Maxine prepared for Quinn and the others.
"You are one of the best cooks," Johanna commented as Maxine only chuckled. Then, she sipped on Quinn's breakfast to test it. Then, she put down Quinn on the high chair. She slouched as she felt really tired. "I'm sorry baby. But at least you need to eat. We have apples." Johanna told her.
"Ki-kin… tummy hurts…" She pouted.
"I know, my love. At least some apples and this delicious food."
Johanna patiently fed her baby girl even though she only finished half of it. Johanna had her breakfast while Quinn was snuggled to her and head over Jo's shoulder. It's the life of a mother that Johanna never expected to enjoy.
Shortly, Victor came and he bent down to Johanna and kissed her head, then he did the same to Quinn.
"I can hold Quinn while you eat," Victor said.
Quinn looked up at Victor and raised her hands. Victor took Quinn and pouted at her.
"Don't worry, my little Quinn. You will be fine soon."
"Tummy hurts." She told him and hugged Victor's neck.
"Oh, I know, my little Quinn." Victor took Quinn to the garden and patted her back while she was cooing and telling her inaudible words. Most of her words were Nihongo mixed with Spanish. He spoke back in the same language.
"Victor! Victor!" Familiar voices called him. Then, he turned around and smiled at the kids. Alexa, Jade, Jaime, and Yves ran to him. "Hello."
"Is that your daughter?" Alexa asked.
"She's my niece," Victor told them as he showed Quinn. But Quinn was a little snob as she only looked at them and hugged Victor's neck. "Have you guys eaten your breakfast?"
"We did. A fancy chef cooked for us." Jade said dreamily. "I wish to eat there again."
"Sure thing," Victor said casually.
"By the way, this mansion is so big!" Yves looked around and there were guards everywhere.
"It's not ours." Victor chuckled. "It's the Queen's mansion with her kids in here and grandkids."
"Woah~~Queen?" Jaime asked with wide eyes.
"Yes, a real Queen. And this is Quinn."
"Queen?"
"It's Quinn. Q.U.I.N.N."
"Ohh." They gaped.
"She's a mini Queen."
"Hello, Quinn." They greeted the baby. Quinn raised her hand and only waved. Then, she leaned on Victor again.

Kennedy saw the photos of the children having fun in the restaurant. The smile on their faces was priceless. At least they are doing fine now. He wanted to have a kid on his own as well and somehow Danica didn't want any of it. But they still need to make two.
"You knew that Gray was a traitor!" Danica exclaimed.
"Since he's from a royal family, you should expect that," Kennedy said as he continued chatting with Gray. There's not much information. He just said that the kids are safe and nothing more.
"Whatever," Danica held her head. "Make sure that you are free tonight. I want to have sex." She said as she picked up her purse and left.
"Fine," Kennedy mumbled. He stood and called Gray who answered after a few moments.
"Hello, Ken. How's my man?"
"Doing fine. Relaxing from the whole crazy thing that happened." Kennedy answered as he walked to the window. "Janella went back to Russia and my wife was asking for more sexual contact."
"Just gave it to her, make sure that she had orgasm~~"
"I am making sure of that." Kennedy rolled his eyes. "At least our relationship will be useful in bed without much romance."
"Right," Gray said. "But don't forget that women want romance too."
"Whatever." Kennedy sighed. "How's Hannah Grace?"
"She's doing fine. Busy with her family… her man." 0
Kennedy was friends with Gray but he won't tell a single word about their operation or else he will be labeled as a traitor.
"You can find another wife as you want, Gray. I want this war to be over. I dislike operating the Charles Empire's underground business more than the normal business itself. My grandfather is getting worse as he wrote a testament. A testament to kill that killing machine and their offsprings."
"Are you serious, right now?" Gray asked.
"Yes,"
Kennedy was dead serious as he stared at the guards running in groups around the garden for their daily exercises. It will be a never-ending war for them. He doesn't know the real reason why his grandfather doted on Wendy too much. He just wanted a peaceful normal life and yet all of this mess is happening. He even got mixed up with a degenerate family.
"I completely understand your life." Gray chuckled. "It sucks for sure."
"It is." He said. "I would rather marry a peasant girl than a family like this. It won't be too complicated, right?"
"Your grandfather and family will disagree." Gray was laughing at him, instead of sympathizing with her.
"I don't know why grandfather doted on her so much that he would kill innocent people…" He mumbled. "If they have offspring, it will be more complicated. The war will keep going on since the Rossie Empire won't let any of their heirs get killed. They would sneak their army to our base until we all turned into ashes. I don't want to have kids and raise them in this kind of family and situation. The Rossie Empire are like thorns and we are like winter."
"Wow, that's quite deep. But it's true. Roses can't bloom beautifully during winter. But they can survive. Look at them now."
"Right, and you even survive from the snakes." Kennedy chuckled.
"I'll talk to you later, my mortal enemy."
Kennedy laughed as he looked down at the window, seeing his wife getting into her car. Probably to have some fun outside. He turned back as soon as he put down his phone. He was not happy with his life right now. But maybe, he will be happier if he has kids on his own. However, he wants to refrain from having children if their life is like this. He doesn't want to lose a child over this kind of setup.
He decided to go to his grandfather's room. He was coughing as he raised his hand. Kennedy sat down and held it as he gently squeezed it.
"Grandpa,"
"Wendy, you have to take revenge."
Kennedy looked down. His heart doesn't feel the same as his grandfather's rage.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled. "I should have protected her."
"No. It was their fault."
He doesn't want to say more.
"It was our fault." He said. "Let's end this."
"Yes, end this." The old man coughed. "Kill them all."
"I'm sorry." Kennedy looked away. "I want to have kids with my wife. But to be able to fulfill it, I must have a truce and peace with the Rossie Empire. I am not happy, grandpa. I am letting you know."
The old man stared at him for a long time.
