C515 A Special Dream
He checked the tree trunk he picked using the flashlight. It was different from Morin's description. Luckily, he didn't meet any arrow poison wood. Chu Yun tidied up his clothes, then sat down.
The night was not a peaceful one, Chu Yun seemed to have had a long dream.
In the dream, he saw an immortal, who was pointing far away, smiling at him. Then, the scene changed and Chu Yun fell into the cave, surrounded by poisonous spiders, snakes, centipedes, and some insects that he did not even know the name of.
Chu Yun slowly moved away, trying his best to avoid these insects and not get bitten by them. However, the more careful Chu Yun was, the more trouble he would cause.
Chu Yun took out a dagger from his pocket and stabbed the insect with it. Unfortunately, there were more and more insects, so he couldn't kill them all.
These insects had bitten many wounds on Chu Yun's body. Gradually, Chu Yun lost his strength and fell to the ground. The insects in the hole started crawling towards Chu Yun without restraint.
Chu Yun felt that he could no longer move. He thought he died in the cave just like that, but the scene changed again. This time, Chu Yun appeared in the dense forest.
This jungle was exactly the same as the path he had taken during the day. Chu Yun looked around. He didn't find the red-backed bamboo shoot grass that he was looking for.
He didn't know why he was here either. Moreover, he had clearly just been bitten by the poisonous bugs. However, the bite wound was no longer painful. Even the wound had scabbed over.
Chu Yun made a move and then moved his feet. He seemed to feel that he was full of power.
Chu Yun walked forward step by step and found a path that he had yet to walk on. He used his hand to gently pry away the grass and shrubs in front of him, and the towering poison tree appeared before his eyes.
Chu Yun was extremely excited. He finally found the culprit that made Zhao Feng lie on the bed.
Morin said that as long as you could find the location of the Poison Arrow Wood, there would be at least a stalk of Red Back Bamboo Grass surrounding it. Even if there wasn't, the distance wouldn't be too far.
However, just as Chu Yun was about to walk forward, a mysterious force pulled him back. He woke up and looked at the dazzling sunlight. He knew that he had had a very special dream.
He rubbed his shoulder and shook his neck. He looked at the scene in front of him, exactly as he had seen it in his dream. Could there be such a coincidence, he wondered? If my dream leads me in that direction, would there be Redback Bamboo Grass?
After hesitating for a short while, he still proceeded according to the first sensation he felt in his dream. Unfortunately, this time, he did not see the Poisonous Arrow Wood standing tall in front of him. Furthermore, he did not see the red-backed bamboo shoot grass that he had hoped for.
Chu Yun's heart instantly turned cold. As expected, the dream was fake. Chu Yun smiled, but he was too nervous and had a dream due to his concern for this matter.
Chu Yun calmed down and continued to walk with his backpack. He kept walking and searching for the figure of the red-backed bamboo shoot grass in the surrounding bushes.
As he walked, it was dark again. Chu Yun looked at the sky in confusion. What was going on?
He had spent the day looking for it, almost never stopping. But it didn't seem like much time had passed. How could it have gotten dark so quickly?
Chu Yun sighed lightly. If this continues, will Zhao Feng still be able to hold on until he returns?
Suddenly, Chu Yun thought of a problem. Other than eating some dry rations when he got up, he hadn't eaten or even drank water for a day. He actually didn't feel hungry at all.
Chu Yun patted his belly. Right now, he was completely full and he didn't feel hungry at all. Chu Yun was puzzled, would he not feel hungry after entering the jungle?
No matter what Chu Yun didn't understand, it was already dark, he couldn't keep moving forward. Although the moonlight shone down, he might not be able to find the Redback Bamboo Grass. Especially since there was the possibility of arrow poison wood nearby.
Chu Yun wasn't afraid of being poisoned, nor was he afraid of death. However, before he found the antidote to save Zhao Feng, he couldn't let anything happen to himself.
He walked around the tree. After confirming that there was no poison, he sat down and rested with his back against the tree.
That night, he had the same dream again. However, this time in his dream, he did not fall into the cave. Instead, he continuously wandered around the forest, walking and stopping, as if he could not find the end. It was like being lost in the jungle.
Chu Yun was tired from walking so he casually supported himself on a tree trunk. Suddenly, his hands felt a stabbing pain, followed by a numbing sensation. He abruptly retracted his hand and looked up. Not good, the tree he was holding was none other than Poison Arrow Wood.
Chu Yun no longer had the time to check if he had been poisoned. His entire mind was filled with that stalk of red-backed bamboo shoot grass. Chu Yun thought that the red-backed bamboo shoot grass must be nearby.
Just as he was thinking, Chu Yun saw a solitary stalk of red-backed bamboo shoot in front of him. He was so happy that he almost cried out. Just when Chu Yun was about to pick the Redback Bamboo Grass, he woke up once again.
It was still broad daylight, and the sun was still stinging his eyes. Chu Yun rubbed his eyes and stretched. He began his search for a new day.0
He took out a piece of compressed biscuit from his bag and munched on it. Unfortunately, he had used up all the water he had, so he could only eat it.
Although there were still crystal dewdrops hanging from the leaves in the morning, he dared not eat them. He was afraid that these unknown leaves might be another poison.
He could only endure the burning sensation in his throat as he walked forward, one step at a time. This time, the scene in the dream flashed past his mind once again. He followed the route in the dream and kept walking forward.
After walking for a while, he could clearly feel the sun above his head. It made his scalp feel hot, as if it was going to burn. Such intense sunlight let Chu Yun know that it was noon.
Half a day later, Chu Yun couldn't help but sigh. He felt that he didn't go far at all, but time passed by extremely quickly.
Chu Yun had just crossed over a patch of grass, so he didn't have enough time to land on his feet. He could actually see the Poisonous Arrows Tall in front of it. At this moment, Chu Ying's mood was truly excited.
However, unlike in the dream, he was so excited that he almost cried out or jumped up. He did his best to calm his agitated heart, and then he slowly approached the Poison Arrow Wood.
