She had always surprised him with her growth and her actions, and he wanted to see how she turned out since the last time he saw her.

Suddenly, he leaned forward as he watched the impeccably dressed man coming out with the woman he was waiting for.

She was wearing a blood red dress today and a smile was on her face as she stood next to the divine red Aston Rapide that had been waiting for them. When he saw their interlocked fingers, he chuckled.

"Well, well, well…" He smiled widely as he tapped his fingers on the steering wheel while keeping his eyes on the couple. "I did not expect that from you, Zhen Kai Xin."

He watched on as the car drove off. He had no intention to follow them today. He had came merely because he had been curious about the girl he once knew. It was his secret tradition.

Every single time he was back in the country, whenever he could, he would visit her, appearing in front of her in shadows whenever he felt like it.

He loved it whenever she trembled in fear at the thought of the sight of him, wondering if he was really there. Wondering...what he would do to her.

When he saw her with his family's long-time enemy, he knew that it was not a coincidence.

Laughing like a maniac, he thought about the fun that was about to come. It was only when his phone rang that he stopped laughing long enough to look at it. It was a call from his cousin, Luo Yin.

Picking it up, he asked,

[ What do you want? ]

[ How is my father doing? ]

[ What do you think? He asked for his son but got his nephew. Obviously, Uncle Luo was mad as hell. ]

Luo Yin who was on the other side of the phone laughed.

[ As if he would really be mad at you, Ye Tian. ]

[ You are bothering me. What do you want now? ]

[ I just want to tell you that she agreed to go out on a date with me. So, thanks for taking over for me. ]

[ You better come back as soon as possible. Otherwise, your father might just hand over your part of the inheritance to me. ]

They chatted for a few more minutes before he hung up. As he drove away from the apartment, Ye Tian licked his lips and grinned to himself, "Get stronger, Zhen Kai Xin. I would be waiting for you."
